Wiltshire Sideboard

Very disappointed with this item. Nothing like the bookcase purchased from The Cotswold Co. a couple of years ago. Apart from the problems evident on delivery - marks on the top, a chip and the sides of both drawers heavily cracked, the quality is very poor. The whole of the interior is unpainted despite the description in both the paper and on-line catalogue that the item is finished in cream paint. In fact I assumed that my sideboard had not in fact been finished and that I had been sent a sample. It is entirely unacceptable. When ordering on-line, it is vital that goods should be as described and photos should show any areas which could give rise to misunderstanding. In addition, the top of the drawer fronts and the top and sides of the doors are half painted with the result that if the drawer is just slightly open the tatty area is visible. The same problem with the doors. The wood might be solid pine but is extremely thin and looks no better quality than a packing case. All in all a disappointing purchase of what has turned out to be very shoddy goods and definitely not worth the money. The one redeeming feature is that it is a nice country style but I am afraid it is a question of looks over substance.

Like the rest of the range, attractive and well made. It would be even better with three cupboards and slightly deeper drawers, but nonetheless a very good purchase.

Would like the top of cupboards to have been painted, otherwise satisfied.
