mix them either with a mixer or by hand with a wooden spoon. Once all the ingredients are nicely incorporated<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it together for 30 seconds\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">being careful\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">not to warm it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0up<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Refrigerate it for an&nbsp;hour.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-two\"><strong>STEP TWO<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lightly grease a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">10 inch<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0tart dish<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0roll the dough in<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> circle shape to a thickness of about three millimetres and lay it<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in the dish<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-three\"><strong>STEP THREE<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">B<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">lind bake at 180<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0degrees Celsius\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for 20 minutes and then for a further five minutes without the <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">cover<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0dropping the temperature to 170<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0degrees<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Remove<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0from the oven<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> and allow to&nbsp;cool.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-four-the-creme-patissiere\"><strong>STEP FOUR<\/strong> &#8211; <em>the cr\u00e8me p\u00e2tissi\u00e8re\u00a0<\/em><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Warm up the milk, cream, orange zest, and vanilla in a saucepan to about 90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0degrees Celsius<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-five\"><strong>STEP FIVE<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>While that&#8217;s warming,<span data-contrast=\"auto\"> whisk the egg yolks, sugar and cornflour until they start to get thicker.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-six\"><strong>STEP SIX<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Pour the milk mixture into the e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">gg<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0mix<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ture<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">a\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">little at a time<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">;<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0if you pour the milk to<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">o<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0quickly<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0the eggs will curdle.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-seven\"><strong>STEP SEVEN<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Transfer the custard back to the pan and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> on a low heat and whisking constantly, bring the custard back to about 90<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0degrees\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">or until it starts to get thicker.<\/span><span&nbsp;data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 id=\"step-eight\"><strong>STEP EIGHT<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Remove from the heat and pass through a thin\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">sieve.
