A Cotswold Company classic, this Farmhouse Natural Merchants chest is made from premium oak veneer and is finished in a subtle matt lacquer to bring out the natural grain of the wood. With 10 woven baskets in 3 different sizes it provides plenty of storage capacity. There is no wooden shelf under the baskets. So can’t be used without the baskets. Bad design flaw as if baskets get broken it will be useless. I wouldn’t have brought if I had known this.

Highly delighted with the Merchants Chest, I was kept fully informed about delivery and when it was delivered the chap was very courteous and helpful, thank you to him, it is built to a very high standard and looks superb in my room, it now houses all my wool and room looks tidy again (bonus).
