Very good, sturdy and good looking piece of furniture. A little more than the mdf version, but worth it.
Only comment would be the baskets could be a little larger (there is space around them) to make use of the unit better.

Bought the bench as it fitted perfectly in my new porch, looks really good and is quite well finished. The baskets are very handy, and stop the porch from looking cluttered with dog toys, gloves etc. Was a joy not to have to build it myself, just unpack and start using straight away. Only negative: middle dividers are not solid through to back, they have a solid bar at front then change to a very thin divider behind where you can't see it. Time will tell if this matters or not! The rest of the construction is very sturdy.

I think that the shoe bench is very sturdily made and looks very high quality. It sits very well in our kitchen. My only slight disappointment is that the baskets don't hold more. To give an indication, one basket holds 2 mens (size 11) shoes and hubby' slippers.
