Great customer service and delivery. Sadly the product was not as good quality as I had hoped for which I guess is why it was cheaper than other similar products from different suppliers. The drawers are so light it feels as if they are made from Bolcer wood. Time and use will see how the product holds up.

In regards to the construction of The Light Oak Double Pedestal Desk, the frame is made out of solid oak and the side panels are made out of composite wood. We have used composite wood underneath the lacquer because this gives it an incredibly sturdy base and a lovely finish. We use these materials so that it is not prone to warping. Furthermore is also a very cost effective and sustainable way to build, so you're not using precious bits of oak for areas that wont be seen when constructed. However if you are not happy with the overall quality of this item, you are welcome to get in touch with us and we can look into getting it exchanged or returned for a refund.
