Lovely, good quality piece of furniture but very fiddly to put together (even for someone who is excellent at DIY). We had to dismantle already put together sections of it in order to assemble it as some of the screw holes were completely inaccessible (unless one has bendy arms and hands). Unfortunately the hinges on the cover of the laptop tray were broken (the cover wouldn't stay up) but The Cotswold Company's after-sales team were fantastic and sent us replacement hinges which did the trick. Would highly recommend this product.

I am happy with the finished article BUT - the pictorial instructions are inadequate (i.e more pictures and/or text required). To assemble the desk fully, both drawers had to be removed, simple the second time but not the first! The catches that release runners are not 'handed' so one goes up and the other down. A simple diagram/note explaining this is required. The magnetic catch that holds the keyboard drawer in place was broken but not worth replacing. A more robust catch and mounting are required.

It should be made clear in the instructions that the drawer has to be removed to screw the parts together as per the diagram enclosed. Some thought should be given to this aspect of the design.
