We are mainly happy with the finished product but the instructions, tools and components provided for self-assembly were disappointing. The first problem arose taking the drawer out as the diagram showed an arrow pointing downwards to release the catch. The connecting rods for the back brace would have been easier if just a fraction longer and the spanner was to wide and we had to adjust it. Again securing the top with the allen key proved difficult as parts of the frame blocked the access and two of the screw holes had no thread to screw into. Once completed we found we had the unattractive side of the back brace showing as we had followed the instructions but did not have the stamina to dismantle it all and start again

The product seems OK and reasonably solid. However, what I didn't like is that it's manufactured in China and someone from Cotswold Co really needs to address your green credentials as I have never received a piece of furniture with so much un recyclable packaging which actually puts me off ordering from your company again.

Having an awkward staircase to negotiate it was a great advantage that the desk was supplied broken down. Assembly instructions were supplied in advance of ordering the item. For £15, I elected to have the delivery guys assemble it for me, money very well spent. They were very helpful albeit I needed to guide them when it came to installing the drawer! The computer tower fits snugly on the left side of the desk whilst there is more than adequate storage space in the right hand side compartment. The desk is well constructed and finished with a really solid feel at a reasonable price and am happy to recommend the desk to anybody. Mike Tuffley
