I had some queries prior to ordering and found Jessica Sculfor to be very helpful in providing information and sending me precise dimensions. When I phoned to order I was asked whether I would like any of a number of add-ons (assembly, wood oil etc) and declined. Neither did I opt for express delivery but was for some reason upgraded and received my item in a matter of days (perhaps a van was in the area?). The Cotswold Corner Desk is not self-assembly - almost all of the desk is already built and all you have to do it bolt on the working surface and screw on the keyboard tray - very easy indeed but best to do so in an open space rather than a confined corner space and definitely needs two people to lift the desk surface onto the base units. The result is a very solid and sturdy piece of furniture and I have no doubt that it will hold my 15.2kg all-on-one computer without bowing. Since I don't have a computer tower I have adjusted the left hand cabinet to my own needs by inserting another oak shelf, which was easily done. The desk makes good use of my limited space and I think it looks really classy. I now need to buy a slightly higher chair since the standard 48cm chair is too low for me, a male of average height. Two further things to consider: firstly, the packaging is voluminous and I wish that I had asked for it to be taken care of (a £1.50 add-on); secondly, instructions for removing the drawer (which you have to do in order to fit the desk top) are in my view inadequate - the diagram clearly shows that you have to depress a small lever to the right of the drawer but does not make clear that you must simultaneously lift its partner lever on the left. I may be a bit thick but it took me ages to work that out. But I have no regrets about buying this substantial and high quality piece of furniture.

Unfortunately the top of the desk arrived with the corners broken and we are currently awaiting a replacement being delivered tomorrow.
