Disgusted with the packaging on this product. No protection on the extremities of the chair, cardboard sellotaped around the item. No chance it was going to be delivered undamaged. Customer services have blamed the manufacturers as though they have nothing to do with the quality of the delivery. Had to send it back. Very poor indeed. Nothing helpful or even slightly verging on customer service from the company. Stick to John Lewis.

This is a gorgeous, traditional office chair which is of high quality. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it came without screws to fix the wooden leg covers to the metal. However, having phoned Cotswold they have assured me that they will send the screws through soon.

It's sad because I love finding reproduction vintage-esk furniture and so I wish I could leave some good news, but this is the second time unlucky ordering furniture from Cotswolds for me. This chair came with unfinished wood (that needed to be sanded to avoid a splinter), and a serious lilt "to boot". A few days later and the lilt turned out to be a broken wheel socket which no longer holds the wheel in place (leaving the chair completely unstable). I called to have this taken care of and was told that because I had sanded the roughness out of the chair it made the warranty invalid. They are chasing the broken part so that I can hopefully fix it, but my faith and business is going elsewhere next time.
