Welsh Dresser (4ft)

This is a very pretty dresser and looks attractive and well-made in our kitchen. It is quite big, so I wouldn't recommend it for small kitchen, that we have, but in a large kitchen or dinning room it would be perfect. One thing I wasn't very happy with is the top of the dresser as it was roughly finished. Also the remove men told me they had had no training putting together a dresser and had only practiced on tables. Although this is not the fault of the Cotswald company directly I think they should be more careful about what delivery company they choose in future. The company who delivered where doing a new line in furniture, and obviously the Cotswold company had not bothered to check whether the training was adequate or not. Disappointing.

Following delivery of our Welsh dresser it was unwrapped by the delivery company and severe damage was discovered to the top unit cornice. Photos of the damage were immediately sent to Cotswold customer service. Following the offer of a small refund we chose for a replacement top. The second top was organised to be delivered a week later, unfortunately this unit had similar damage to the cornice around the top unit. Prior to ordering the unit I checked with customer services to confirm the exact size and width of the dresser but unfortunately miss informed and therefore does not fit into our kitchen. We are now once again awaiting Cotswolds response. Overall I have been very disappointed as a customer and are in the process of agreeing the collection and refund of both units.

Not happy with quality and quality control standards. Tongue and groove panelling on top 'hutch unit' not evenly spaced two of the planks were very tight. Bottom sideboard unit sent damaged, can't be blamed on transit damage as packaging and delivery team fine. Missing paint on bashed corner had just been touched up at some time without trying to build up paint layers to match, very disappointing that imperfect goods are sent out in the first place. In photographs the Bourton painted dresser looks very nice, but unfortunately in the flesh the build quality is rather poor with cheap hinges and catches. Goods returned and money refunded.
