In a twist on the traditional sideboard configuration, the drawers in this gorgeous French-style oak piece are not at the top but down the middle, between two single cupboards. This arrangement focuses your eye on the centre of the piece. Each cupboard is fitted with an inner shelf to maximise storage space. The sideboard is solidly constructed, and the burnished metal handles add an antique effect – not that this piece demands to live in a traditionally decorated home. We think its light tones mean it would look equally fabulous in a modern, airy kitchen diner.
