Woven Round Seagrass Rug

Order number: 2088043 I absolutely love this company and have previously purchased quite a few items of furniture all of which are of fantastic build, quality and design and I just know will last for years. This rug however tells a different story. I’ve waited a couple of months to write this review as I wanted to test it out properly. Firstly this rug is made of a natural, straw like material which sheds constantly. I’m vacuuming under this rug on a daily basis as it releases so much dust and bits of straw. I also need to use my wood cleaner to remove the dust, as vacuuming alone will not remove it. Secondly the straw has started to fray/split on the surface so the rug has started to look worn out. This is not acceptable for such a new rug. Aesthetically and from a distance it looks the part and if you just want to use it as a decorative feature without walking on it and are prepared to vacuum under the rug on a daily basis then go ahead and purchase however if you want to walk on it and generally use it as a rug should be used then it pains me to say that this rug is not fit for purpose. Sorry Cotswold :(

Delighted with the course texture of the rug and the prompt delivery. Less delighted that the couriers left rug outside in the rain despite the sheltered location being requested. Not the fault of the Cotswold Company and the rug was well wrapped so no damage done, luckily.

Love it and my Cotswold table and chairs look great on it! Just what was needed I. Our new house!
