Arrived poorly packed and with loose black paint/soot that had marked the entire bedframe and, when opened, ruined my carpet. Would definitely avoid (not that this review will see the light of day).

Lovely bed and we are delighted with it. Easy to build…HOWEVER,, there was a screw missing at one end of the frame and the metal bit at that point was slightly bent out of shape - which we only found out once my husband had nearly finished building it. Fortunately he had a screw in the garage he was able to use and fix the problem. We did not want to have to go to the hassle of sending the bed back!

Very pleased overall. We bought this bed along with a very similar one from John Lewis, (Clyde bed). Both beds feel like they come from the same factory. The Clyde bed is a bit cheaper but it has a lower headboard and 2 supporting legs in the middle bar. This bed has a better designed central bar and so no support legs needed. The fabrics are different but both good. Assembly is not hard but putting in the slats does take a bit of time. Overall the Cecily from Cotswold is a better bed but a bit more expensive. We don't regret buying either.
