Bought the wide blanket box as I needed more storage, absolutely love it, well made & just what I was hoping for. Would go in any setting, I've used it as a window seat in a bay window & made a seat pad & cushions. Was delivered on time, very pleased with service
It's made in China... take note. Nice looking Chantilly blanket box (which I suspect sways most people in their reviews) but confirming my initial apprehension before purchasing, it is made made in China and is way overpriced considering its construction - surprising how a paint job can cover up a multitude of sins. Small gaps between joints, panelling thin and not a consistent finish. Ideally there should also be two gas struts fitted to the lid to even out the load as the screw fixings look inadequate, so don't know how long it will last before the screws start to unseat. This item needed to be £100 cheaper. An entreaty for a small discount was dismissed even though I now receive a 10% discount having bought one! It's really sad when craftsmanship is no longer a priority nor helping manufacturers within the UK. I want craftsmanship as well as looks so will be looking elsewhere for further items for the home. Yes, it's adequate for its intended use but the asking price makes it unfairly priced.
Beautiful blanket box, good quality looks lovely not like cheap flat pack sold by other stores. Delivery was well organised with 3 hour time slot meaning you don't have to wait in all day. Driver also rang half an hour before arriving which was great. Unfortunately blanket box was damaged but this was easily rectified l, the only problem was getting through to customer services, which was near impossible. I was promised a call back and despite 3 phone calls to the overspill team an email never received one. Eventually after 2 days waiting I managed to speak to the customer service team. This is my only complaint albeit the phone. All was dealt with promptly and professionally, despite this I would buy from again and keep fingers crossed that item arrives perfect condition.
