Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak’s natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Dark Oak tone. It is then sealed with lacquer to protect the oak’s subtle, natural grain traces. Please Note: Due to the size and weight of this item, we use a specialized delivery service. Customers will be contacted by our dedicated team to arrange delivery. Please note that this item can be delivered to a room of your choice, up a maximum of one flight of stairs (access permitting).

I've rated this the lowest possible as unfortunately, this item weighs 83KG in its packaging and the delivery company refuse to take it up the stairs (even though it fits). They were also only given a 10 minute slot to deliver this heavy item and unpack it, along with some other items I brought. They are being set up to fail, so cannot blame the delivery company. Unfortunately, as this is a piece of bedroom furniture, I did want it in a bedroom, so this, along with everything else I purchased, despite having waited ages for it, was sent back on arrival, given they couldn't take it to the intended room. I got an apology from Cotswolds, but that's simply not good enough. Don't order this item if you intend to have it upstairs in a bedroom. They cannot deliver this to a room of your choice, its false information.

The delivery team were incredibly impatient and as such, could not get the chest of drawers up my stairs. They refused to remove it from the packaging (company policy, apparently) and as such, the box was too large to fit. They tried to leave it in my hallway, but I live alone and could not have moved it. I had waited a number of months for this piece of furniture and got in just before the price increased (by a couple of £100, I note!), so needless to say I am incredibly disappointed in the Cotswold Company. That said, they did refund me quite quickly.

Solid piece of furniture, good finishings. Looks great and seems to be quite durable at first sight.
