Inspired by a Georgian bow-fronted chest spotted at an antiques market, the Winchcombe range features a deep, natural grain, soft-close drawers and generous storage – thanks to its elegantly curved shape – that make every piece a pleasure to live with. It combines antiqued metal handles and delicate cornicing with traditional woodwork for a timeless feel.
Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak’s natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Smoked Oak tone. It is then sealed with a lacquer to protect the oak’s subtle, natural grain traces.

Looks like a lovely piece of furniture but just be wary that the woodstain is quite an unusual one that - if ever marked - a french polisher will find it hard to repair. It’s a factory treatment for which the right colour dyes are hard to find. The factory is overseas too so getting a sample of the dye was not possible when requested. I now have a dressing table that needs a place mat permanently on it to hide a mark.

Not having seen the chest of drawers in the flesh before ordering I was rather apprehensive as to whether I would like them and chose to trust the reviews. I also purchased the bedside tables and have to say all pieces of furniture exceeded my expectations with the quality, style and colour.
