Product description
Our Stow collection is painted in a warm white, with fresh design details as practical as they are lovely to live with. Such as soft close sliding doors from Germany that provide quick and easy access. A collection designed with busy family homes in mind, the mortise and tenon solid wood frames are extremely durable, while handcrafted dovetail-jointed drawers add strength.

The cupboard itself is beautiful. HOWEVER, the delivery was not good. The package was delivered upside down AND the packaging was not removed. Two 80 yearolds had to deal with that. So thumbs down for delivery.
Not at all satisfied I am afraid. Having wanted one these larders for a long time, I moved to a very small modern house where there is minimal storage. Even though I have downsized possessions there was nowhere to keep food. When I was sent details of one at a reduction to £649, I measured up, found a space for it and decided to treat myself. It has been, however, a catalogue of disasters. I did not receive the larder on the day booked for delivery. I received a 'phone call from the drivers informing me they were lost. When I asked where they actually were it became apparent they were quarter of a mile from my old address which I had left a month previously! I supplied them with explicit directions to my new address (they were 15 minutes away) and waited. Eventually I received a text telling me my larder would not be delivered that day. I was not best pleased at this turn of events. I contacted the Cotswold office to be told that was the case and nothing would change their minds. To add insult to injury they wanted another £40 to rearrange delivery! This was finally waived and eventually it was admitted it was not me who had given the wrong address. Then I agreed delivery in 2 days. Larder was delivered and a friend and I (neither of us hale and hearty) spent a long very hot afternoon filling it up. We admired it and then shut the door. It appeared to move so she opened the door and then it definitely moved. It appeared as if it was going to fall forwards. Quite unnerving. Although the property is only 3 years old, and recently had an excellent survey, I borrowed a spirit level to check the floor. It is not the floor. Then I found a small leaflet left behind that said a larder standing against a wall should be fitted with a tie line. It isn't. I am very concerned for not only my safety but that of my young grandchildren, and animals. Also I have not felt able to invite my frail 94 year old Mother to visit, who is understandably keen to see my new house. I contacted the office yet again. I never receive a reply the same day. I would also mention that all information messages from the delivery men arrive after they have been and gone. Your first suggestion - empty the larder. I have explained I have nowhere to put what it now contains. It is a very small house and the boxes that were emptied have been returned to the removal men as requested. Also I do not feel it fair that I should have to expend that amount of energy again. It has rather taken the shine off the treat I had promised myself. It is not down to me that it is unstable. Your technical department offered wedges. I replied that, although, I would accept that as a temporary solution I would not accept it as a permanent one. No response has been forthcoming, or indeed wedges. When I 'phoned on 17th June (day after eventual delivery) I was told your "lead time" was sometime in July. That is just not satisfactory. Please help I am beginning to despair.
Well made and very practical. Able to store a wide selection of kitchen items and foodstuffs. Black fittings are a little "strident" on white background. Is it possible to obtain fittings in alternative colours?
