Working from home sitting at this beauty will certainly be more of a pleasure than a chore. Sturdily made from distressed solid pine, which has been hand-waxed to give it a rich lustre and show off its dark-toned beauty, the addition of library-style handles adds to its distinguished, Victorian-style appearance. With an expansive top to house your laptop and everything else you might need to hand, the pedestals cleverly disguise a plethora of hidden features for the modern home office. The left side hides a foolscap filing cabinet behind the bottom two 'drawers', with two single storage drawers above, ideal for housing stationery. The right pedestal features one upper drawer and a useful cupboard behind the lower three 'drawers' - including an adjustable and removeable shelf; this could be used to store a computer tower, WIFI box or any other bits of technology that you just don't know what to do with! Finally, the upper central drawer opens out into a platform for a keyboard which can be handily tucked away when not in use. Please note desk tops are not distressed in order to maintain a smooth work surface.

I bought the item because it was closest to what I was looking for and it's a good solid piece of furniture but I'd have liked it better had the depth of the desktop been wider as I need to keep a lot of things to hand when I work. Being able to get it ready assembled was a godsend as so much now has to be assembled at home. people have commented on it's looks.

A beautiful piece of furniture with good storage. A shame it turned up with marks all over it. Really can’t face dealing with the awful Cotswolds Company’s customer service again though so hoping a bit of shoe polish will cover them over!

Awful experience thus far. The desk turns up damaged in several areas that catch the eye. The most obvious being the desk top with deep scratches. Quality control gone missing by the looks of it. Reach out to the company to seek either a revised compensation schedule or return of goods and unfortunately no response/acknowledgement after one week. Customer service orientation and or awareness non existent. That is why it is rated 1 star for quality of build and 1 star for value. If cutomer support/services were available they would get a doughnut.
