Bought for my refurbished lounge which has had all new oak flooring and a wood burning stove installed. This rug looked fine initially but I’ve noticed a sour smell every time I go into the room. I’ve tried airing it outside, even lightly sprayed with Zoflora. Taking it out cured the room
smell but nothing works when it’s in so now have to keep my window open. Before this rug we had lovely smell of leather, wood and slate oil, now smells as if something has died. Maybe it’s been kept in a warehouse too long…..will need to replace ??
