And last but not least, set into the lacquered oak and premium oak veneer top is a heat resistant black granite worktop, ideal for rolling out pastry or kneading dough. The contrast of the oak rails and rack with the classic stone paint of the frame (suggested colour match is Farrow & Ball No.211 Stony Ground) gives it a strikingly handsome appearance that will work in any kitchen setting. Granite is a natural material which needs to be maintained with great care. To avoid permanent damage, spills should be wiped up immediately and sharp objects should never be used on its surface.

Generally, a very well made piece of furniture - but, the granite has a very light line right across the middle that stands out. We had so much bother from the delivery we could not be bothered with all of the hassle of having a new one delivered and having the original picked up. I phoned the number of Cotswold Co several times before I received an answer, to be told that it was a support service that would pass on a message and we would hear back within 2 days!!!!! With the delivery, we were given a slot for between 12 and 3, I took a day off to help getting the unit into our kitchen and early in the morning, the time slot was changed to between 3 and 6!!! Guess what, it was late!!! I followed the delivery on the internet and saw the van drive all around the area for hours and it was stationary at the shop location for some time, so I called the delivery people to see what they could do, and THEN I get a message from the driver to say he would be between 10 minutes and an hour, depending on traffic!!! So you can understand that I could not take all that nonsense again!!! And I lost a day, completely wasted waiting!!! I decided to get some granite polish and buff out the line myself.
Other than that, we are really please with the unit and it is a great addition to out kitchen.
