3 Drawer Chest

The chest arrived faulty - two of the drawers don't fit properly. I was then told I can either wait for 20 weeks+ for a replacement piece or accept a partial refund. The 20+ week was not going to work for me as I won't be the country. I was then told by a second customer service agent that a repair would be possible. I then had the original customer service person write to me to say a mistake was made and a repair will not be possible and made a refund without any further discussion. I am not sure how much value you place on your goods - but as a customer I researched the product thoroughly as a buy for life and frankly this treatment has left a bad taste. I have got other furniture from you in the past and am happy with those - but this one and the subsequent vagueness in how the issue was handled has left a bad taste. And that is a shame. I have to now see if I can organise a repair myself - since I had a vague promise of one (not sure on what basis) and now that retracted. A piece of furniture is for life and its a shame that I got this vague response.

I purchased three items from the Camille range - the triple wardrobe, the three drawer chest and the open bedside table. I have to say that I am very pleased with all three items - they are very nicely made and look very good in my spare bedroom. The only criticism I have is with the delivery of the items. I had paid for the packaging to be taken away so unwrapped the bedside table and took it upstairs myself. The delivery men took the chest upstairs and then took half of the wardrobe up to the bedroom and left the other half of it downstairs, advising that it was too heavy for them to take upstairs and they were not allowed to do it. I knew that there was some assembling to do on the wardrobe I just hadn't realised that I would have to take it upstairs myself. I think that this should be made clearer on the website because not everyone may be able to lift this item without additional help. I also had to get rid of all of the wardrobe packaging myself. I advised Customer Services of this by email and have yet to receive a reply. So in summary, the quality of the furniture is very good, the quality of the customer services and delivery team is a little hit and miss.

Ordered during lockdown. Arrived on time, well protected with packaging. Very impressed - good quality - good value , if anything it was better than I expected having never purchased furniture before without seeing it in ‘real life’! Also bought the dressing table set. The lime washed effect coincidentally matches our new colour theme in the bedroom, so a bonus. However, it’s discreet enough to fit in with any colour scheme I’d say.
