Great piece - we're actually using this not for kids, but in a room where the sloped ceiling means either we'd need expensive built-ins (which hide the beautiful exposed beams) or a shorter wardrobe like this one. The left and right hand sides are not the same widths on the inside, which is a shame since fairly standard size baskets (like for Ikea cubes) fit nicely on the left exposed shelves, but not (for example) in the bottom of the hanging section. It was easy to put together, but the center piece was unsteady (it looks like some wood glue or screws came loose?) and one of the holes at the top of the piece appeared to be missing its recessed threaded piece so the screw doesn't hold. Once it's all put together though, it is sturdy.
