Unit was delivered with visable damage to front of lower cabinet. The delivery company were excellent & informed Cotswold Interiors immediately. We were told that a replacement would be sent when available & someone would be in touch. However it’s now been 3 weeks and no contact. I have phoned to request a call back & am still waiting. It’s a shame as we were really pleased with the service we’ve received up until this point.
A number of problems with this. Unstable on the floor i.e. wobbly ( felt pads supplied to level it. The brackets that fix the bottom and top together were meant to be fitted by the delivery drivers, but they refused. Looked to do it myself but they didn't line up properly, spoke to Cotswold and they advised fitting at an angle. Screws for the handles on the bottom part were too long so handles were loose, replacements were sent were the right length but too thick, furhter set of replacements were correct. Decided to fit the ant-tip brackets to the top and the wall. Fitting the first bracket to the unit using the pilot holes pre-drilled and one screw head snapped off and the other ripped the head - realised the pre-drilled holes were not deep enough. A nice product, looks good. But would not have purchased this if I had known of the problems that lay ahead.
I had to order the dresser three times because each time it was delivered it was either cracked or smashed or dented. The delivery chaps were absolutely amazing but it wasn’t until one of the delivery guys said ask Cotswold to do a quality check before loading it onto our van did I actually receive an intact product. Prior to all this Palava Cotswold also messed up the delivery dates but we managed to get a refund on the next day delivery that was due. The product is nice and looks beautiful but I did expect it to be bigger and slightly more sturdier and heavier for the price tag attached. The dresser cupboard doors are also very stiff and there weren’t enough silver handles to attach to the dresser so most of the handles on the sideboard are wooden with two silver handles on the dresser. I don’t think we will be buying from Cotswolds again.
