The Appleby oak chest of drawers is unquestionably a solid piece of furniture. The only thing I didn't particularly like is the way a dark piece of oak has been joined with a lighter shade in the fabrication of one of the drawers. I'm not talking about the natural grain or colour of the wood, but the way different contrasting shades of wood - from different sources - have been chosen to be joined together to form one piece.
