It's a little surprising that this seems to be aimed at a children's bedroom, since it's a substantial, chunky piece of furniture. I would recommend that you measure the space available carefully, because it looks daintier in the pictures! It's quite high and has three big, deep shelves. You would be hard pressed to find any book that wouldn't fit comfortably into it. Ours is in our Hallway, full of books, and looks great. The warm white colour is attractive and blends with the existing interior decoration.
It arrived robustly packaged and is really beautifully made and finished. The shelves are a snug, secure fit and it took a little juggling and tapping of the supports to get them into place. It comes with a nice simple mechanism for fixing to the wall. It's hard to imagine such a solid, well-balanced piece of furniture being toppled, but with a vigorous and active toddler visiting regularly we would be wrong not to make it absolutely secure. We're absolutely delighted with it. Strongly recommended for both aesthetic and practical reasons.
