The table and chairs are very high quality in materials and workmanship. The purchase and delivery were absolutely fine. however the overall experience was let down by the difficulty we had in gettingadivice as to the treatment and maintenance of the table. It is oak of v good quality and finish but needs to be treated and maintained in order to protect it long term. This was obvious on arrival but wasn't not made clear prior to purchase. The guidance said that it had been treated and suggested that it should be treated every 6 months but maybe immediately as it may have been in stock for some time ! Customer services, after negotiating a strange contact system, were subsequently unable to give us clear advice. They suggested it had been treated with a white hard wax oil finish but offered no more guidance. After speaking to three specialist firms, I sourced a white hard wax oil and have applied that. It was not straightforward -- applying it in the wrong way would I think have ruined the appearance, but in the event it has worked well. The appearance is much the same as when the table arrived -- a little more 'satin' but now we feel it is protected against stains and damage. In my view most of this could have been avoided with simple guidance before and after purchase.

Lovely table and very comfortable chairs. Arrived exactly when I needed it and was assembled for me in no time. The colours fit wonderfully in my new kitchen. I love it!

Just to let you know we are very unhappy Cotswold customers the first set of table and chairs we received after waiting five weeks the table legs were damaged. We arranged for new table to be delivered today the 16th Nov. you sent right table, wrong colour! (Florence Grey) The table has been returned and we have been told another table will not be delivered until Monday 26th Nov. we have not had any confimation of this yet! I do not call this good customer service. We have another order of bedroom furniture coming next Thursday 22nd Nov. Why could replacement table not be delivered next week with this. We all lead busy lives and this is now four days we will have had to arrange to stay in or more if new order of bedroom furniture is not perfect .Whilst Chloe @customer services was very polite she was very matter of fact and in my opinion had an uncaring attitude.
