A pedestal extending dining table offers the best of both worlds: the space-saving benefits of a central base with the flexibility to accommodate extra guests when needed. Unlike traditional four-legged tables, the pedestal design provides uninterrupted legroom around the entire table, making it comfortable for everyone seated.
Our round extending tables are particularly well-suited to smaller dining spaces. Starting at a compact 110cm diameter, they open up to 145cm when you need that extra room, perfect for transitioning from weeknight meals to weekend entertaining. For larger dining rooms, our rectangular designs extend from 180cm up to an impressive 310cm, comfortably seating up to ten people.
Each table is crafted using traditional joinery techniques, including mortise and tenon joints, ensuring they're built to withstand years of daily use. Hand-turned legs and carefully applied finishes – from Mellow Oak and Smoked Oak to painted Dove Grey, Forest Green and Classic Cream – highlight the natural grain and character of the timber. Many feature butterfly leaf extensions that fold away neatly when not in use, maintaining the table's elegant proportions.
