I bought this during the pandemic and we were only told on the day of delivery that they were not going to unpack and assemble this for us. Which I understand the reason why, but it would behave been fair to tell us this at the point of purchase, when the social distancing rules were already in place. We still paid the full price for delivery which actually included assembly. With this being a heavy item I needed help unpacking it and for lifting the top on you need a strong helper, but I was left to deal with it myself on the day. Quality of the product: it comes at a high price and given that it is all made from MDF apart from the worktop and top, I thought it was overpriced for what it is. The drawers just slide out without rollers, the hinges on the doors are a bit cheap and the glass is not very smooth and rattles when you open the doors, so not fixed on properly. The magnets on the doors are so strong that it takes a bit of force to open and bangs loudly when shut (plus the rattling glass). So it does feel a bit cheap. The dresser itself does looks very nice, the colour true to what it looks like on the photo and the wooden top is good quality. However, as a whole it is let down by poor quality of the details, which I find a bit disappointing for such a high price.

This is a really beautiful piece of furniture. We ordered one dresser for one alcove, and just the base for the other sideboard in our dining room. The storage is fantastic and the build quality is great. However I was really upset by the quantity of landfill packaging these items came in. I appreciate they have to be well protected for transit but I was astonished to see that the Cotswold Co use polystyrene to package their products when there are so many other more sustainable options. The level of packaging for two items was so extraordinary that I had to do a tip run with my entire car filled to the roof with polystyrene and cardboard. Seats down, passenger seat full. Cotswold Co - you have an obligation to your planet to sort this out. Please, please respect your planet and your customer by making a change.

The unit is as beautiful as we expected and we truly love it. However the reason for the 4 star build quality, is because our middle door on the top part of the unit is warp. I’ve emailed customer care and had no reply, I’ve tried a online live chat and was cut off. Not overly happy with the way we are look after or in this case complete lack of aftercare.
