Product has a rustic, hand-waxed finish which is then sealed in clear lacquer to provide a rich hardwearing finish. I am absolutely delighted with this sideboard, which is solid, beautifully crafted and such a lovely design. I would also highly recommend the service, from ordering right through to delivery. I was kept well informed throughout, the delivery men called in advance as promised, arrived as planned, and were really polite, swift and professional. I would definitely use the Cotswold Company again.

lovely piece of furniture,however nowhere in the product description does it say the inside of the draws are not made of oak,but a softwood composite,disappointed .

I love this sideboard, it looks so good and is very well made, very solid piece of furniture.
Wasn't quite so happy with the delivery - I wasn't told when delivery slot was so I emailed the company - they did reply very quickly though. Unfortunately the delivery was almost 2 hours later than I'd been told. Meant I had to wait in full day till it was delivered about 6.15. Driver said he'd been told a different time to me! He moaned about how heavy it was even though I managed to unpack it and move it myself! He gave me no time to unpack it before he left so luckily it was in perfect condition. When I took delivery of a dining set from Pine Solutions there were 2 men who unpacked the items so I was a bit disappointed this didn't happen this time.
Having said all that I am really pleased with the item - it's beautiful.
