The visual appearance of the desk is very good and suits our home office well. The desk arrived well packed and we removed the wrap. We had to make an adjustment to the back of the cupboard to suit our hard drive tower cables which we did and it was only when we started to construct the desk that we realised at the base on the inside of the LHS pedestal the trim had snapped off. We found the snapped piece within the wrapping. We did not damage this element and we believe that this damage was done either at the wrapping stage or during transit. As we hadn't noticed the damage before we made the adaptation to the back we couldn't return the item or complain however just to say the material quality on the side panels & trim is very thin & weak. The drawers are sturdy but they are stiff to open, especially the filing drawer. I would have expected smoother, easier drawer runners.
