Looks good and well finished BUT shelves are weak fibreboard and unable to take the weight of books without a significant bend. Very disappointed. I have had to reinforce shelves with aluminium angle lengths

Shocking customer service.I ordered the Chester Grey Large bookcase and console table for our new home.As the completion on our home was delayed I contacted Coltswold to change the delivery date.I was informed this was not possible so the order had to be cancelled.
Once the house completion had taken place and the money from Coltswold refunded, I reordered the two items and paid for them.
The following day Coltswold contacted me stating I was a " possible fraud risk as my billing address did not match".
However they had taken the money for the goods!They required a landline number for a security check.
We have been in rented accomadation for over three months and have no landline so could not provide a current utility bill/ or a landline number.
I work in a health care setting so when Coltswold telephoned I was in clinic.
I could not return their call as their number was withheld.
We have purchased a kitchen, white goods and furniture through reputable firms and have not experienced any problems.
Needless to say I'm baffled and annoyed with their service.
I have since cancelled my order with Coltswold and gone elsewhere without any problems.
I have emailed a complaint and am awaiting a reply.
My money has yet to be refunded.

The only problem is I put hard back books about A4 size on a shelf and after a week the shelf has bowed!
