Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and I'm sorry the drawers on your Chantilly Warm White 3 Drawer Petite Chest weren't running as smoothly as they should and that the smell has been slower to fade than expected. I've since been in touch with you directly to help resolve both issues, and I'll continue to support you until this is sorted. In the meantime, a simple tip that often helps with drawer movement is applying a small amount of clear candle wax to the bottom of the drawers and along the runners. Our furniture is tested to the relevant European REACH safety standards, which cover limits on around 200 chemicals, so you can be reassured that any finishes used do not contain harmful levels. It's also worth noting that, as with any wooden furniture, a temporary "newness" smell from the timber or paint is completely natural and should gradually fade. Keeping the piece away from heat sources and ensuring good ventilation in the room will help speed this along. Thanks again for your patience while we get this fully resolved for you.
