I love the rail, but sadly can only award two stars, due to the fact that (as reported by another reviewer in December) the 6 screws just wouldn’t tighten as the pre drilled holes are too large for the treads on the screws provided. This means the rail is unstable and ultimately unusable (ie it collapsed).
Cotswold offered me new screws, a discount or return/replace, but I’d thrown away the packaging and was concerned that all the stock might have the same problem.
Luckily, a handyman managed to drive 6 larger screws into the actual wood, but the rail was still wobbly. He then fitted a cross brace, which gave enough stability to use. It is very useful now. See the picture below.
Cotswold have told me that they will investigate whether their remaining stock has the same issues. I can only really recommend the product if they confirm that this has been done and/or you are prepared to do a DIY repair like I did.
