Double Wardrobe

The assembly of this wardrobe was a disaster. The 2 men had no idea and left without putting the doors on. They also disappeared without even saying a word to me. The delivery of my order was a 1/10. Would never order again on this basis.

We bought with standard delivery, which means that we were left to put this together ourselves. This should have been relatively easy, given that the bottom section is pre made and we have years of experience putting flat pack furniture together. But it wasn’t. Our biggest problem was that the holes often didn’t line up. We fitted the main section onto the base as best we could, but two screws holes were offset so much that we couldn’t get them in. To get the doors to fit, we had to make new screw holes for the top hinges. The bottom two went in on both sides, but the top were well out well of line. By this point we were invested and it’s stable enough, so we decided to keep it. It’s possible the next one could have similar issues and we’d have to go through this all over again. But for this price I really expected it to go together as least as well as a wardrobe from a cheaper Swedish manufacturer. Bit disappointed really because the chest of drawers and side tables are really well built.

I am very pleased with this. The workmanship is excellent as is the quality of the wood and the design. Very important to me is that the delivery people constructed it for me very quickly and very cheerfully. Christine Linehan
