Don’t get me wrong, this is a very nice product in terms of quality but realistically this wardrobe is completely impractical. As with most products from Cotswolds and Oak furniture land, they come delivered as close to fully assembled as they can be. For a wardrobe this means the base drawers are one complete unit and then the side and back panels all come flat pack. We queried with in-store sales reps and customer services multiple times to ensure that the panels came as separate components. In particular we were assured that there would be 1 panel covering the double doors and an extra panel covering the remaining third door - meaning we could negotiate our staircase. This is false. It comes as one large panel covering all 3 doors and can not be manually disassembled into smaller parts. It is surprising at how difficult it was to get this information from Cotswolds and how inconsistent the responses were. The result is that this is impossible to get up most staircases, and you have absolutely no chance with a staircase with any sort of bend in or low ceiling. You would probably need constant staircase height of at least 8 ft and to be at least 5 ft wide. In short, I wouldn’t bother unless you have a large open staircase. Hope this saves someone the time and effort we wasted with this wardrobe.
No instructions for assembly. Had to go online and ask for them to be sent electronically, which they did. Got a change of wooden handles for the drawers but not for the wardrobe. Too much bother to ask for them... nothing seems to be checked as I have read in other reviews. I was disappointed with delivery, as when ordered it was to room of choice, but they were just going to leave it doorstep, until I said I was an old age pensioner, living on my own, they actually put it in the hall. If I had known I would not have ordered it then, as I still had to get someone in my house to get it upstairs. Pretty hard doing a triple wardrobe on your own.
Look great, very easy to build and nice and sturdy furniture. One suggestion, if you have a small area to build the wardrobe in it is really easy to put the base in first and build the rest on top of it.
