Hadn't realised it was dark oak until it came in the box but it's lovely and it's only as dark as my light oak kitchen stools which are 5 years old now - so it's already aged basically. Very sturdy and well made, I'm very happy with it. Delivery was excellent as they gave a 3 hour window and also rang half an hour before to let me know they were on their way, which was very helpful with the school run. Well packaged and my daughter is still enjoying the box!
