Small Sideboard

We have been building our collection from the Chester Dove Grey collection over the past 6 months and up until now we have loved our furniture. When we received this sideboard it was the first time that we felt let down by Cotswold and there has been a decline in both service and quality of goods. Firstly our delivery was cancelled without notice on the day of delivery, past the delivery window by the new courier employed by Cotswold. When I raised this with them they didn't want anything to do with it and stated that once the item was with the delivery provider it was no longer their issue. I raised a formal complaint, but have not heard from anyone. When it did arrive the right hand door has been fitted significantly lower than the left, so much so that it rubs on the bottom of the unit and looks entirely lopsided. Thankfully my husband has rectified this himself, but we are both very disappointed given the cost, and a reputation of quality. I expect better from Cotswold, both in terms of customer service and aftercare. We have been left with the view that Cotswold do not care much for their customers which is a terrible shame.

Lovely sideboard but I am really disappointed to find that when I unpacked the item I discovered a small dent mark at the bottom of the cupboard drawer!!!

More and more we’re getting into an age where we’re put in the position of having to order online - I hate this. I thought...finally I found something that seems almost worthy of paying £400 even though it’s not solid oak. But no, it came and my husband and I thought it looked good - but the side and front panels were made of what looked like plastic. Yes they were chipboard or MDF or what have you, but it looked cheap and it looked as if the panels could be removed. I’m disappointed. My husband is fine with it as we’re short of funds for the entire home, but I’m not fooled. This is not worth £400. Who are we kidding here. Toy furniture once again.
