Poor paint finish on the shelves. In strong light and without shoes on the bench this would be noticable.

The shoe bench is a welcome piece of kit that helps to make better use of an awkward space. Self assembly was required, involving the fitting of twelve screws. A ball-driver tool was provided for this: using the ball end was essential as the screws are located close to internal corners in the structure. Once assembled the bench is sturdy and the paint finish is good. The flat-packed kit came in a lot of packaging, most of which, but not all, was recyclable.
