It’s finished with a hand-applied layer of wax to bring out the grain and protect the surface.

Really delighted with this lovely filing cabinet - very efficient delivery service to the very north of Scotland (we were kept up to date with delivery times even with the standard delivery service), looks great & works perfectly - I'm very tempted to get another one! You will need foolscap files (for rails 390mm apart) rather than A4 files (for rails only 330mm apart). If you take out the drawers completely to move the cabinet, as we did, then try to remember which drawer came from which hole! It's a little tricky putting the drawers back in properly once you've taken them fully off so just be careful.

Smooth ordering and delivery. Nice product. Could do with drawer safety interlocking so cannot open two at once. Sadly item was damaged although not badly enough to go through the hassle of the returns process. Looked like forklift damage - the carton had been repaired so the damage was hidden until unpacked. Not good.

I am absolutely delighted with this cabinet. It is a lovely piece of furniture and looks great in my study. I am also very pleased about the amount of space in each of the drawers which easily accommodate the files that I have removed from my pedestal desk. The drawers slide easily which is another bonus. All in all it has been a great buy!
