To start I must say I am a fan of theCotswold Company and have purchased a number of items this year. This is my only disappointment. The trouble is that the legs screw into metal plates that are fixed to the bottom of the cabinet by three or four minute screws which are very thin and under 1cm in length. The smallest pressure on the end of a leg simply pulls the leg away from the base of the cabinet. The repair was comparatively simple - Araldite plus four longer and stronger screws for each leg ..

The bookcase arrived ready assembled except for the four legs which had to be screwed on by hand. Three legs were put in place quite easily but the screws were missing for the fourth leg. A metal plate had to be screwed in place before the leg could be screwed on. It took a long time to find three screws small enough to fit through the holes in the metal plate with heads large enough to hold the plate in place before the final leg could be fitted.
After some annoyance and frustration the bookcase was ready for use.
This bookcase was the only one I could find with the dimensions that would fit into
the space available. It is now in situ and I am very pleased with it.
