To look at this it is a lovely well made piece of furniture and the delivery was prompt and good too - but... it smells absolutely terrible. I've now had this and one other small piece I bought from Cotswold Company in a bedroom for a week. The smell is still too strong to sleep in there or even spend much time in the room. This is not a slight smell when you sniff a drawer - the whole house smells although all windows have been open and I also have a big airpurifier in the room going all the time. I really hope it will fade soon but I do feel worried about chemicals in the room I will have to sleep in soon. I can't find anything on the website about what chemicals exactly are off-gassing and would not have expected this from such expensive furniture. I think this should have been aired out in a warehouse before sending it on. I did buy a similar tall boy two years ago from Cotsold which did not smell like this so I am surprised. If you are going to buy if possible put it outside for a bit first.

The first delivery did not take place as the courier lost the parcel. The second arrived damaged with a crack in the wood. Also the drawers did not fit properly and one of them was jammed shut. We had to send it back and request a refund. We were not impressed by the quality of the product or the service.

Very pleased with the service and advice from Cotswold. Always great furniture. We have many pieces of Cotswold furniture and the recent tallboys we ordered haven't disappointed us. Delivery was excellent and on time.
