I would like to stay this review by saying how much I love the quality and style of furniture from the Cotswold Co. Unfortunately, the delivery services they use are absolutely dreadful. I ordered this kitchen island before Christmas, the company delivering it wanted to leave it outside my door - it’s too heavy for one person to move - and only after much pleading did they agree to bring it into the kitchen. It had been bashed a d battered so much that when I unwrapped it, there was a huge chunk missing from the corner and several large cracks elsewhere. I won’t bore you with all the horrors of trying to get it replaced, other than to say that Deb in customer services was extremely helpful and tried to do her best. But as they have no control of their delivery service it was extremely difficult for her also. When they did finally (!) replace it the delivery was pretty awful again. When you compare this with John Lewis or M&S I’m afraid the Cotswold Co is sadly lacking. As much as I love the furniture here, I’m afraid the stress experienced in the delivery will prevent me from ordering from them again. Please, Cotswold Co, sort this out and learn from your competitors!!!

Disappointing that the items are not built in the UK, but in China etc, they are only designed here. Other then that, lovely items, but you get what you pay for. Would feel better, what with the company’s name, they are British built too. Make sure you read about delivery options! As ours was left in box on its side and we had to unpack it! If I’d been on my own I’d of had no chance. I would of chosen unpacked every time if I’d been aware!
